WorldMEN is the international workshop on Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia and other rare endocrine tumors. The first meeting, held in Canada in 1984, brought the world's MEN experts together in the search for the genes behind the syndromes, an effort that led to the discovery of RET and MEN1. The group's work has since produced widely cited papers, consensus statements and guidelines.
WorldMEN is multidisciplinary. It brings together basic scientists, geneticists, endocrinologists, oncologists, surgeons, pathologists, gastroenterologists, radiologists and nuclear medicine physicians, along with trainees in each of these fields.
